remote work is like birth control or UBI atp where there’s overwhelming research consensus they improve quality of life for people they apply to, yet access is impeded or blocked by the ruling class because the thought of marginalized ppl having rich full lives makes steam come out their ears
2. Rolling Stone is owned by a large media conglomerate, which is ending remote work across its brands.

My home is Portland, Oregon, ~1,000 miles from the nearest office, so this marks the end of the line for me at RS.

👏 "We've lived here all our lives. And I have never felt so unwelcome in my own hometown as I do since your party came into Caerphilly."

"With all the rhetoric that you bring in, I have to say to my sons, please don't go there. Please don't do this."

"I blame you for that."
Just WAITING for all the lawnmowers to finish so I can record...
Just curious when we're going to be collectively tired of all this shit?

Sorry… the USAID budget was LESS than the US is now chucking Argentina for giggles?!
Jesus…
The fact that Republican “fiscal conservatives” in Congress aren’t saying a word about Trump’s $40 billion bailout of Argentina (“America first!!!”) just shows that they’re complete hypocrites.

Investments in early learning and affordable child care.

Largest investment in public schools in state history.

Free school meals.

Nation-leading Child Tax Credit.

Paid leave.

Our mission from day one has been clear. Today we rank as a top state for children.
Zero Tolerance really is underrated. I still remember the day I got it. Must have played it for three days straight.

mRNA vaccines 🧬 are already great but they can be made even more effective by making them code for virus-like nanoparticles 🦠 rather than just single proteins 🧪

This means a lower dose is required, which should reduce side effects

Why the next generation of mRNA vaccines is set to be even better
mRNA vaccines are quick and easy to make, while virus-like nanoparticles produce a stronger immune response - now the two approaches are being combined to give us the best of both worlds

Trump is upfront in saying he will use the shutdown to punish Democrats, and here are the receipts. About $27.2 billion cut from Dem districts compared to about $0.7 billion in GOP districts.
We all complain about the media, but need this type of in-depth journalism.

In case anyone else is watching the signposts

Our counter revolutionary Supreme Court is about to gut what remains of the voting rights act.

Meaning the gains of the 60’s have been given back and we will soon live in a new Jim Crowe where protests this time are potentially illegal or lethal #wtaf

Insurance rates up $2000.

Food benefits cut off.

Farmers unable to sell their crops.

Skyrocketing national debt.

$40 billion to Argentina.

America First!
Born and raised in Miami by an entire family of Cuban Republicans (with one exception). I registered as a Democrat the moment I could vote and have NEVER, ONCE, considered voting Republican.

BTW, every living family member either switched parties and or voted Democrat since '16 so...
I still think the whole bananas thing was them trolling us.

Q: Politico reported on a group chat of young Republicans. Does this just reflect some bad apples?

HOCHUL: Some bad apples? These are the future of the GOP. This is so vile it's hard to find the words to put into context ... there's gotta be consequences ... this bullshit has to stop.
