I used to be a driver for Amazon and feel that same pain. I usually just have to settle for "everytime there's a strike organized by workers or drivers, I always support the strike".

My art would absolutely suffer without my day job to pay my bills. Sure that means I get less time to market, promote, and straight up work on it, but not being in survival mode means I can pursue more things "just for fun".

It’s really hard to describe to people who are not artists how survival mode does *not* inspire creativity, as the myth would have us believe. It suppresses creativity as you try to limit every possible risk – and the opportunities that come with them.

The age between Dark Knight Returns and the first Ultimate Spiderman run should be called "The Dark Age" of comics, which characterizes the rise of anti heroes and deconstructions of superheroes that this age was known for.

The first cold of the season means it's chili time! Made a milder one this go around but still lots of flavors: mild rotel with tomato sauce, garlic powder, oregano, anaheim peppers, yellow onion, chili powder, paprika, cumin, a dash of cayene and a little brown sugar to wrap it up 😋

Saw this advertised in another DC book so thought I'd check it out. For a first issue it definitely leaves more questions than answers and also featured a backup story about Amazon kangaroos? The art is colorful and it might be worth a read for younger readers. I might read the next one.

AEW All Out was another solid PPV. Fletcher vs Page was a stellar main event and nearly every match on the card was solid to awesome (though Eddie Kingston vs Big Bill didn't do it for me). Overall a great show and I am strongly considering getting WrestleDream in October #AEW #AllOut2025
