1) If you are outside the United States and you desire to weaken our power and influence, there is a simple calculus to it.

If a person looks at it with any sense, Netanyahu and Trump played a game with the hostages lives this last year so they both can be seen as heroes in the negotiated plan for their release. 🤷🏾‍♂️
bigdogmomthree.bsky.social
It wasn't even his, it was Biden's and Blinken's negotiated plan.

When this shit show is over, there's a ton of accountability that needs to be done.

People better get right with their lord, because the end is not going to be pretty.

do you guys ever think about how in a better world José Andres could just like. have some restaurants. and instead he’s consistently doing the work we’re supposed to have governments for

Government workers 👇🏾
Lunch is on the house:

Being in the heart of downtown DC, we love that so many of our Federal employees stop by during lunch for a Donburi at China Chilcano or a Fútbol Club at Jaleo. And just because the government is shut down doesn't mean you have to miss out on your favorite lunch spot- because this time, its on us!
Join us for lunch from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM at any of our participating restaurants and enjoy a free lunch item when you present your government ID-you heard that right! Dine in with us Monday through Friday and choose your favorite: a sandwich at Jaleo, a donburi at China Chilcano, a wrap or pita at Zaytinya, or a torta at Oyamel.
We've always believed in serving our community with open arms and good food-no shutdown can stop that.

Can anybody in the press tell me what is different in the path forward, as it stands, with Trump in office, from what the Biden administration put on the table?
ericleeacts.bsky.social
You do not, in fact, have to hand it to Trump. At all. I’ll be grateful for peace and for those released, but there’s still a long way to go. And yes, I do still believe Bibi wanted Trump and wasn’t about to deal while Biden was President.

Or maybe, just maybe, what was obvious in 2024 was correct: Netanyahu fully backed Trump and would not deal with Biden because Trump would give him a free hand to escalate the starvation, bombing, and do full ethnic cleansing. Which he then did, until Netanyahu embarrassed him by bombing Qatar.

Our messaging, our policies, are secondary to the possibility that there are always susceptible targets to spread just enough cynicism, doubt, and out and out derision to depress turnout that might otherwise come our way, unless we all just show the fuck up every damn time.
ericleeacts.bsky.social
What I don’t think a lot of people get is that with the Democratic Party being the opposition party, those who benefit from the GOP, and especially MAGA GOP, know that’s the case, and they will tailor strategies to pick off anyone who might find themselves in solidarity with Democrats.

😭😭😭What a way to end this chapter. Perfection. Thanks, @marcmaron.bsky.social Thank you for never bowing to cynicism.

Today is the final episode of the show! wtfpod.com

I haven’t even listened and I’m a little teary. It’s such a forward-thinking, “Where do we go from here?” move. The kind of move borne from hope and action, and dammit, I am such an absolute sucker for that shit. You hear me, Marc? Love you, man.

The last time they sat down together to record, it was a really great interview. I find it so damn beautiful that another sit down with President Obama is how Maron has chosen to end his podcast. What I love about Maron is that, despite his anger (all of it justified), he does not bow to cynicism.

More than a decade ago, I sat down with @marcmaron.bsky.social in his garage to tape something new called a podcast. This time, he came to me to record his last episode.

We talked about the power of conviction, decency in an age of division, and the true story of America.

This two-parter below is exactly why it's hard to make clothes in the United States.

Let's look at how much it costs to produce a button-up shirt in the US. 🧵
Someone on Twitter replies to me: "meh. buy american or stfu."

Two hours later, in a separate thread, the write: "$30 for a single button-up is ridiculous unless it is decent quality silk."

Hi Sally. When Weiss published a supposed expose on the death of George Floyd, a veteran criminal justice reporter showed in deep detail that the piece was not just wrong but filled with falsehoods and misrepresentations. Weiss did not retract the piece. What do you think of that?

Also, i’m pretty booked for a little while because of my next project. So if you’re in the mood for some live theatre, i’m in the ensemble for “Kiss of the Spider Woman,”(yes, that’s the musical J Lo’s in that just opened). I’ll be doing a bit of the old song and dance! teatrodelpueblo.org
