I bid in the house, but the seller (mortgage company which got possession through foreclosure), outbid me.

My local contact told me about a house he couldn’t get at $55k and after several auctions, over several months, he got it for about half. More time to raise $!

I was in this exact position in January during the SoCal fires. It took the SSA almost 6 months to pay my second back SSI payment. Either the shutdown, her assistance will be held up further. Please help if you can!

Learned to drive in my 30s, so I have the worst of both worlds — lack the 30 years experience of my friends and the quick reflexes of their kids. So I always signal. People don’t signal in parking lots, which is a place I’m extra vigilant because of the no signals and kids being unpredictable.

Absolutely. A lot of people were either in denial, willfully ignorant, or thought he was just coming for trans folk, immigrants, and Blacks. I care about all Americans and want all of us to be happy, healthy (as possible), safe, and free.

I cannot imagine not adoring a grandchild, either. I love seeing little mixed kids being adored by white parents and grandparents.

Never met him. He accepted the second set of grandkids, even my step cousin — they’re half Filipino and just as dark as me. I grew up with them and their dad was always just my uncle. When the next uncle got married when I was 12, same thing. Met everyone else after my GF died when I was 15.
