Greatest console of all time? For me it's the mighty Vectrex.

My favourite item in my collection by far. Here is the one I got for Christmas in 1984 along with some of my games. All thankfully owned since the 80s.

What's your best TV/monitor for a quick bit of retro gaming on original hardware? For me it's the Sony KDL 15G2000. It's a 15" 1024x768 TV. Supports 576p, 576i and 480p.

It has inputs for for RF, composite, component, RGB SCART, S-Video and VGA. It's absolutely superb. #retrogaming #retrocomputing

By 91 things were not too bad for the NES in the UK and it had begun to catch the Master System in sales.

The attempts by Mattel to sell it a number of years earlier were just bizarre. It looked like some weird TV toy thing with a useless robot attached. No wonder no one bought one back then.

Spectrum Next #Delphian progress: been working on the transition into space, and it's almost there... just needs a starfield, planets, the sun... Oh well, one step at a time...

I've also been rearranging code to use RAM banks so I only bank in code that's needed. Anyway, starfield next!😀

Spectrum Next #Delphian progress: decided not to code going into space, but to land the ship (with auto landing) and exit to walk around. Walking around has a different screen surround, plus a larger view (and it runs a bit faster too). 😀

Next step: flight into space and adding a starfield... 🙂

Daley Thompson's Decathlon gets all the love but I always felt that Super-Test was the better game. Released on many 8-bit platforms, and for Speccy owners it also had a nicely enhanced 128K version. #retrogames #retrogamer #retrocomputing #zxspectrum
