I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?

It's been 1hr and people are ALL CAPS demanding compensation...I lived through the banking outage of 2013 and not a single penny of compensation was paid despite being cut off from our bank accounts for a week.

Another thing regarding mutual aid & who your community is, is a lot of disabled people in particular are very isolated. They're in deep poverty & complete abandonment. Literally. So they hop online to have community. Sometimes it's the only community they have & the only way they can get help.

Started an AppleTV+ trial because I wanted to watch the first episodes of this show...I've already forgotten the name of it -set in anchorage and Ms Alfre Woodward's in it.
