I'm clearly not in time for shark week, but I've finished this huge shark illustration! I didn't expect it to be this big of a project, yet here we are. It was so much fun to draw these sillies & I hope you love them~

??? WATERMARKING IT IS CRAZY WORK. that's sooooo annoying. I'm so sorry. I deleted my FB at the beginning of this year and it was the greatest decision ever, but sucks that it just seems like this art theft will never stop. ;-;

Trans rights are, in fact, human rights. Pass it on. 🏳️‍⚧️🫂
#SciArt poster with 6 white boxes on a purple/grey background.
the test above in white says IN THIS LAB WE BELIEVE
boxes upper left to bottom right:
- text SCIENCE is real, a scientist in a blue labcoar holds a flask with teal liquid with an orange microbe above their head, while a round earth circles around them
- text LOVE is love, two stickfigures are happily write in a pride flag with hearts above them
- text BLACK LIVES matter, three stickfigures hold their fists proudly in the air
- text FEMINISM is for everyone, a stickfigure holds a purple female symbol sign and is wrapped in a purple schal with a trans colors pin
text EVOLUTIONARY BIOLOGY is cool, a mosquito stands by a series going from single atoms, to blue RNA, to red DNA, to a blue virus, to a red malaria parasite and orange bacteria, to a yellow worm, to a green amoeba, i drew this in a way where the amoeba looks like the mosquito's fart, I'm so sorry amoeba
- text IMMIGRANTS are welcome, a little stickfigure statue of liberty stands tall and proud in between clouds and birds

It's official: MY BAD: A PERSONAL HISTORY OF THE QUEER 90S AND BEYOND has a cover! I love how the yellow feels like a run over hazard sign, and the mixtape is perhaps my personal 90s icon. As for those sexy statues? You'll have to read it to find out...

🐝 BEE WORKS is my award-winning viral series, made from 65,000 dead honeybees.

It raises awareness of global bee decline through systemic pesticides, monoculture, and #climatechange. 🇨🇦

There is a path forward—and it requires we listen to the Indigenous voices who have long protected this planet.

I did not ;v; It was very crowded and my friends were feeling a lil tired by the time we got there, so I just let myself enjoy this area and sit with them a lil!

I had a really cute experience that I didn't even realize at first! My friend and I were there together and I began explaining to her in depth about whale falls. An older man was about to leave the exhibit, but when I started talking, my friend said he actually stopped to stay and listen ;v;

I also love the deep sea exhibit at Monterrey Bay Aquarium, specifically the part with the whale fall, hydrothermal vents, and seamounts. I love everything about those biomes. It was my first time going to that aquarium this past summer and I was so excited to see that they had an exhibit with them!

Yeah that's understandable! Honestly, that's part of why I really liked it bc I haven't really played jrpgs often because they haven't interested me. This one felt pretty fresh in my opinion!
emerythos.bsky.social
I was absolutely sold by the trailers, so I dunno;; but the game and story itself definitely has a lot more to it than the trailers ever showed which I find nice. And while the fight system can be difficult, it's probably one of the best in the jrpg genre imo.

THIS IS SO CUTE OMG. Yes ;v;

I have no need for genAI. It would improve nothing in my life. It wouldn't save me time. I could not trust any text it assembled. It cannot research. It cannot write like I do. It cannot create like I do.

It cannot justify its existence or its expense.

It is not inevitable. It is not unavoidable.

I will say that I did once find a crab running around my parents' home. They don't live next to the beach. LMFAO

/it was bc my dad had caught crabs from that morning's fish, but I didn't know so I was SHOCKED

Absolutely nobody asked for this but I reformatted my animal yeetability thread into printable poster & zine files.

Introducing, the "Pocket Guide to Responsible & Sustainable Animal YEETING" featuring a revamped rating system. Download links below.
Poster showing various animals and their yeetability rating. For full rating, see the link in the reply. Intro text reads:

POCKET GUIDE TO RESPONSIBLE & SUSTAINABLE ANIMAL YEETING
by franzanth

In this context, YEETING is defined as the act of throwing a “projectile” at a slightly upward angle with low initial velocity. The goal here is relocation, not destruction. Therefore, YEETING is ideally performed toward soft surfaces like leaves to minimize downward acceleration that might result in said projectile's discomfort.
