Fishing some 5,300 years ago: a Neolithic fishhook made of wild boar tusk, wrapped with a fishing line.
The size of the fishhook is 6.5 cm. It was used to catch pikes.
Found in the lake-dwelling settlement of Arbon Bleiche 3, Switzerland.

Yesterday, Monday 22 September, the excavation came to a halt to firmly express our opposition to the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people.
A gesture of solidarity and resistance. #StopGenocide

It's that time again! The 43rd archaeological campaign at Coppa Nevigata is set to begin. It's a privilege to continue our research on this incredible Bronze Age fortified site in Northern Apulia, and we are looking forward to all that this season has to offer.

An absolutely stunning photo! The 35m-long #Roman shipwreck, along with its cargo of 6,000 (!) amphorae was discovered in 2019 off the coast of the Greek Island of Kefalonia.
It’s one of the largest Roman shipwrecks found in the Mediterranean.
