I had a weird experience with this as my dad was fairly conservative (he has shifted entirely lately). When I came out to him fearing the worst, it turned out he, a psychiatrist, has been working with trans patients since the early 90s when no one else would. So... yeah, definitely never know lol.

For those tempted to say Young Republicans have always been this way, they really have not. When I worked on campus and did bipartisan college events after, they were very much not like this.
