Yamaha 2 stroke scooter, pulled into the lot at work, leaves on the blacktop, next thing I’m laying on my back, scooter is still running and is slowly spinning, pivoting on the passenger peg.

It was a 1999 bullet 500 in military green, that first attracted me to the Royal Enfield. I remember seeing one with bent up ammo cans on it. Pure nostalgia, reminded me of all the summers I spent with my grandpa watching World War II movies.

I’ve sprayed the canvas with UV, but there is fading regardless.
When it comes time to replace, I keep thinking about mounting ammocans.
But the canvas panniers are perfect for bringing flowers home for my wife.
