Lots of new followers lately, so re-intro time!

I'm Elaine, Scottish TTRPG producer by day, mini-painter and v-tuber by night.

I currently work at Rowan Rook & Decard on Heart and Spire, and previously worked at Cubicle 7 on the Warhammer roleplaying games, Broken Weave, and too many other games.

Even in the UK I feel like the various Games Workshop TTRPGs were more popular in the 90s than DnD. WFRP and Dark Heresy were huge, but they rarely show up in TTRPG history debate cause its really just ‘American TTRPG history’ folk normally cover.

Rolled credits on Silksong! Had a full blown Matrix ‘she’s starting to believe’ moment a couple days ago and just blasted through so much of the game I was stuck on. Good times.

If we’re talking strictly ‘Indy’ as we use the term nowadays (small format, experimental, small print run) then Monsterhearts was my first ‘you can make games like this?’

Otherwise I’d say Numenera was the first game I played which felt like it handed me the reins as a GM and said ‘go wild, kid’.

I broke my ankle this week so yes! Let me keep up!

Fun fact: when I was admitted to the A&E the nurse was like 'follow me' and then shot away through the labyrinthine hospital corridors faster than I could keep up and I subsequently got lost. Had to shout for her to come back. ;-;

We get daily visits from the local crows now and they’re supremely chill.

We’ve reached a point where they’ll happily land right next to you while you put some meal worms and suet pellets out for them.
