Montembeault has proved his value to this team. Over and over again🙄Have a little faith. Without Monty,Habs wouldn't have come close to a playoff spot last year. Yes,he's struggling now,may be injury related. They have Dobes until Montembeault regains his usual form. Which he undoubtedly will

Was wondering about this,as well,Jack. Is too early too panic(way too strong a word) but Montembeault hasn't been himself through the first 3 games he's played. Seems to be struggling. If he's nursing an injury,they do have an excellent backup in Dobes

One very end,depicted in pic,is my favorite.Heston,production staff had to fight the censors,tooth and nail,to keep that line in.Thank goodness they succeeded -like the scene itself,those lines are iconic.Also - "take your stinking paws.."😀And Zaius' -"as you occupy its lowest rung","his destiny"...

As luck would have it, TCM is devoting its daytime schedule on Thursday,October 16th to films about - you guessed it - the French Revolution😀Incl some very good ones - Scarlet Pimpernel,Marie Antoinette,Danton,Voltaire and,perhaps best of all,the classic 1935 version of "A Tale of Two Cities" 👍😊

Apart from his racism,his hypocrisy really galls me.He had the temerity to criticize young men for protesting Vietnam War.This from a chicken hawk who did everything he could to avoid fighting Hitler.Bigger stars-and better actors-like Jimmy Stewart,Clark Gable saw combat.Wayne was a phony #cinemon

If one wants to see someone objectionable,look no further than "da Duke". John Wayne was an out and out racist.And,unlike Heston,this super patriot was too cowardly to fight Hitler. Yes,he did. Many don't like his politics,especially during the last 10 years of his life. But his civil rights activism shouldn't be ignored,imo.The man was a fine actor with enormous charisma. His George Taylor in orig "Planet of the Apes" is one of great characters in all science fiction #cinemon

Apart from classic "Planet of the Apes"(remake was pretty awful),my favorite Heston scifi film is "Soylent Green". Dark,dystopian film depicting a VERY grim future (TOS,this ain't) for humanity. Edward G. Robinson's last film-he's wonderful in it😊."Soylent Green is...". Nope,I won't say it😀 #cinemon

The Vincent Price version,"The Last Man on Earth",made in 1964(so it was the first filmed version. At least I think it was...),was pretty good,too. Is an amazing story so it's hard for a movie to completely screw it up #cinemon
