As someone who loves Metroidvanias, Hollow Knight is easily the one I got the MOST lost (yet immersed) in, and I love that stuff, but I think playing Metroid Dread first is a good way to try that style of gameplay and see how you feel about it before going in the deep end

i'm endlessly impressed with how customizable and user-friendly metroid randomizers are, i JUST found out there's an interactive spoiler map that gradually reveals the map as you go through it's spoiler log, and has room names... so cool dude, i love randomizers‼️
