That’s not representation — it’s a brazen attack on democracy and fair elections.

A couple generations back almost everyone knew how to grow and preserve food, maintain their home and vehicles and own the tools to do it. You see grown ass men now that don’t even know how to change a tire let alone dig a post hole. It’s sad but I do see the pendulum swinging the other way

Construction skills are, while many of these tasks aren’t hard you do have to have a base knowledge and attention to detail.

Basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry and masonry is something everyone should know hell in the space of 2 generations we pretty much forgot how to do almost any life tasks

We have had our neighbor who’s greenhouse it is tagging along as we go he’s an MD and seeing him learn how to use a saw or learn why we do load calculations etc has been a great experience. I really think we fucked up along the way at some point not recognizing how important basic maintenance and

Yeah all the contractors here are building houses and scheduling out for 48 months minimum and I wouldn’t even call them all “legit”

That being said it is good to see folks learning these skills again.

Frost line is at 46 inches so like two feet below frost line isn’t that deep mostly for a structure that’s 14 feet tall on the back side and wind gusts up to 65mph

8x8 treated post sunk six feet with concrete anchors, stacked stone at 48 inches below grade between the posts. Not what I would have done but we came in to rescue the project so here we are 🤷‍♂️

And we’re finished with the exterior, god that feels good, taking a back and knee day tomorrow then we start the interior on Friday 🤦‍♂️

Final day final task the last custom door building it now. It’s going to feel good to be done with the exterior. One week and half just Brenden and me did what a whole crew couldn’t in 4 months hell we spent the first three days tearing out what those idiots did do
