I’m surprised we haven’t had a billionaire try to buy us up yet, even just to keep us quiet. Maybe it’s because we’re more like a co-op or a united federation of woke YouTubers than a monolithic media empire.

We didn’t need a permit btw. NYC is extremely generous to filmmakers. So generous that I find myself in the awkward position of saying nice things about cops.

Sub/liminal would be impossible to make on our budget anywhere else.

Filming without a permit on the street in NYC tonight, two cops showed up and started watching us.

…turns out they just wanted to hang out and watch. Said they’d stick around until we wrapped in case we needed anything. Free security detail!
