Given the state of things, I have to take joy from the little things. Therefore, I'm happy to see that my favorite 007 score (and my favorite Bond film) is being released in an expanded form.

The score for #TheSpyInTheGreenHat was done my Nelson Riddle (TV's "Route 66", Kubrick's "Lolita", "The Great Gatsby" etc..) ... and (of course, the 1966 "Batman" movie)
... I knew the "vibe" seemed familiar. 🧐

Same. If you grew up in the 1960s/1970s it seemed he was all over TV. Batman (as "the Puzzler"), "The Mod Squad", etc,, In addition to his turns in "Rosemary's Baby" and "Beneath the Planet of the Apes"

Sometimes things worked in reverse. For example, originally the three part "A Man Called Smart" was going to be a full-length film. Paramount changed their minds however, and the script was repurposed as TV episodes.

To the best of my knowledge, the UNCLE movies were expanded versions of 2-part episodes of the TV show with additional footage. For ex. #OneOfOurSpiesIsMissing is derived from "The Bridge of Lions Affair/One of Our Spies is Missing" (1966)

FYI,
Madame Raine De Sala is played by Vera Miles. I guess after what happened to her sister in "Psycho" she struck out on her own.
PS: These "UNCLE" movies are a goldmine for seeing some of the character actors of the era.

There were about 8 Man from UNCLE movies between 1964-1969. Mostly they were simply expanded versions of episodes from the TV show w/added scenes. The marathon starts tomorrow at 6am w/ To Trap a Spy (expanded version of the pilot)

That is one of my guilty pleasures of watching classic films - seeing the casting overlap with TV shows that I grew up watching. The "down bill" cast of #NewYorkConfidential is really good BTW.
