Sorry folks, I know things took a quite left turn in my politics in the last decade, but I can now reveal that it was all just a long game to find out more information about my Dear Amelia

Trump says he’s ordering the release of all government records on Amelia Earhart.
Trump: I have been asked by many people about the life and times of Amelia Earhart, such an interesting story, and would I consider declassifying and releasing everything about her, in particular, her last, fatal flight! She was an Aviation Pioneer, the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean, and achieved many other Aviation "firsts." She disappeared in the South Pacific while trying to become the first woman to fly around the World.
Amelia made it almost three quarters around the World before she suddenly, and without notice, vanished, never to be seen again. Her disappearance, almost 90 years ago, has captivated millions. I am ordering my Administration to declassify and release all Government Records related to Amelia Earhart, her final trip, and everything else about her.
Thank you for your attention to this matter!
DONALD J. TRUMP, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED
STATES OF AMERICA

I like how you don't have to use AI to make the Border Patrol Chief/Head of ICE Chicago Ops dress like a Nazi soldier because that's literally how he proudly presents himself.

We cannot allow an American Gestapo to become normalized.
unraveledpress.com
Thinking about how much of their violence has been normalized already, how scenes that caused shockwaves 6 weeks ago are now part of the rhythm of daily life. Watched a TikTok from a daughter who has to do her parents' laundry & get their groceries because they're in hiding. This is just it now

The journalists, sure, but what about all the hot take hacks

America is imperfect, but foreign leaders did not use to assume that the President's family was a key means of leveraging their shared interest in corruption.

Trump's conversation with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto is caught on a hot mic. Hard to tell exactly what they are talking about, but Subianto asks Trump about meeting Eric Trump and Don Jr, who supposedly have nothing to do with government while they run the family business.

That pimple of a man simply knows for sure that it would not ever happen to him, I think. Someone like that should never have been confirmed

Precisely the person Justice Kavanaugh said would not be inconvenienced.

The entire incident is infuriating and terrifying. She’s a Latina woman who was working a service job. On her way home late at night, with her headphones in, she was detained for an hour by masked federal agents who wouldn’t give her their names.
Maria Greeley, 44, had just finished working a double shift at the Beach Bar on Ohio Street
earlier this month when she said she was surrounded by three federal agents who grabbed her, forced her hands behind her back and zip tied her.
Headphones in, Greeley had been focused on getting home to her two dogs for a walk.
Instead, she said she was detained by masked agents who did not answer when she asked for names. They questioned her for an hour, she said.

This version is confirmed, by Hoffman Estates police, puncturing the official DHS statement.

At this point, there is a statement from DHS re 🧊 activities in the Chicago area that’s refuted in similar fashion on nearly a daily basis at a minimum over the past week

Despite what some, including at DHS, are claiming, this video isn’t from a year ago in Chicago. It was Friday in Hoffman Estates, in my district, a street I’ve walked myself. It appears to show a child being violently detained by ICE. It’s real, and I’m demanding accountability.

Reverse Odysseus: my crew, here on this adventure with me, are EVERYTHING to me.

I have curated my kids media consumption quite a lot. I am proud that my oldest loves One Piece, an epic story that is also, like, a reverse Odysseus: my crew her one this adventure with me are EVERYTHING to me. I have my youngest playing Portal & Void Stranger

I mean, seeing MTV's Liquid Television at age 15 was probably not any better for a brain, I think. When to allow kids to have access to the weird brains of every brain in the universe is a big, difficult parenting problem, one that consumes me these days, tbh

That's the beautiful thing: it's scientifically impossible that even a particle of the blood of Tony Hawk is left in it, but it's MYSTICALLY possible that it's even BETTER than drinking Tony Hawk's blood, because of reasons that we don't need to even try to explain to anybody, if we're careful
dtipson.bsky.social
This is what I'm saying, this shit that kids were watching with mouths open in the 80s/early 90s, it messed us up forever: is that good, is that bad, idk, but being randomly connected to every weird brain out their on the planet, even via traditional media was a real trip, growing up

The rhetorical force behind modern "states rights" is the idea that people you "don't know" shouldn't come into your "quiet community" & scare ya. It's right-wing coded when it's exploited as the idea that immigrants do this (they did not).

Trump/Miller are ACTUALLY doing this, yet SR people are 🤐

Historian here, late to this but @jamellebouie.net comparison between Republican authoritarianism today and the Slave Power of the 1850s is in the mark. They spout states rights and small govt but unleash the repressive powers of the federal govt when it suits them. www.nytimes.com/2025/10/08/o...

Sir Ed, could I interest you in a really horrible business opportunity: imagine a nationally low calorie distributed soda drink, but, and please just hear me out, what if the key ingredient wasn't even in the drink, so really, it's not cannibalism, technically, so
