Two things can be true. But I’m not sure I’d frame any prez as the anti-fascist prez. This is what happens when people don’t read or understand history and can’t draw the thread through from past events to the current moment.

I bet many of the guys who become cops, ICE, or even join the military have an image of themselves as Rocky, Rambo, the Terminator, or whatever.

Most of us have over-inflated sense of self in some way. The Rocky/Rambo fantasies of self are actually toxic to the body politic.

When was she gleefully in support of genocide? She was like every single other prez candidate before her in their support for Israel, except Carter. Wrong but not gleefully supporting genocide. And why are these ppl not protesting the guy and his criminal syndicate who have power to do something?

No one is saying she doesn’t have power. Of course she has power accumulated from all her positions, education, network, etc. she is NOT the one in power, nor was she then or is she now able to stop a genocide. To pretend that she has any power in that is absurd.

Did you not experience his first term? Could you not articulate that for yourself? Or are you the student who always asks what’s on the test, how many pages a paper is supposed to be, and if you can get extra credit so you can pass the class? “She couldn’t articulate…wah wah wah.” GOH

So she didnt directly speak to every single issue, person, event, or thing you specifically needed her to speak to in a 107 day campaign and that bent your nose out of shape. So, how is 45/47 doing in your estimation? You getting everything you want? Or genocide for everybody cool with you?

I’ll never be mad at Arabs, Muslims, or Palestinians for voting how they did, regardless who they voted for. 1) They are too small a population to have swayed the vote and 2) they are the impacted population. I will never forgive the anti-Black white people for undermining democracy like this.

I understand that anger. What I don’t understand is their willingness to stalk and protest a Black woman who had zero power as VP, said and continued to say what Israel is doing is wrong and should stop, and the willingness to sacrifice everybody and everything else on that altar.

I keep telling people - especially would be allies - you center Blackness and Black people in your equity work and you’ll be more likely to actually get to equity than centering anything else. But the widespread anti-Blackness holds everyone and everything back.
