As Palestinians cling to a fragile ceasefire after suffering horrific genocide, I ask those who remained silent and complicit for the last two years—was it worth it?

Was it worth it to know this is how history, your children, your descendants, will remember you?

The fact that cross-border traffic from Canada is down by only one-third is a gd mystery. Not exaggerating to say that it’s possible I will never again go to the US
sorry-iamcanadian.bsky.social
Unbelievable!

This is a US Border Agent chasing a Canadian couple heading towards the border back to Canada.

He yells at them:

“Never come to the US again”

🚨 DO NOT GO TO THE US
IT IS NOT SAFE.

Neguse: "What Trump is attempting to do is create a perception that he has all the power & create a sense of hopelessness or helplessness in the public. We've gotta resist the temptation. He's electorally unpopular. In fact, the most unpopular POTUS at this juncture than any modern POTUS in history"

It's missing the most important choice.
#1. Vote for leaders who act on climate.

Trump's tariffs are luring automakers back to the US. China's punishing Prairie canola farmers b/c of Canada's 100% tariff on Chinese EVs.

Is there a smart solution to Canada's predicament?

We might have one.

Youth litigant and renowned climate advocate @sophiamathur.bsky.social spoke to a crowd of decision-makers at former Environment Minister Catherine McKenna’s book launch last month.

Can you guess who was in the audience?

PM Mark Carney of course.

Let’s hope he listened. 👀

"struck"?

by lightning? by illness? by fate?

a driver hit a woman as she crossed the street

"A woman and a child were taken to hospital after being struck by a vehicle," is copypasted from the VPD statement which reveals their bias: traffic violence is normal

Happy to share my piece for @theguardian.com on the mainstreaming of fascist fashion. If we want to fight this, we first need to learn to recognize (and name) its aesthetics, especially today. Check it out 🗃️https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/oct/15/fascist-fashion-language

Whenever we discussed improving diversity on our boards and commissions, you could count on the laziest (and corrupt as it turns out) councillors piping up about "merit".

Pierre Poilievre says he wants to “restore merit.” He needed to be handed arguably the safest, most impossible to lose conservative seat in all of Canada after losing his own seat.

Seems like the opposite of merit. #Poilievre

(oh, and he still refuses to complete a check for a security clearance)

It’s funny how black people are expected to reach across the aisle to voters like these, while no one ever expects them to reach across the aisle to black people. Amazing who gets to be human, and who doesn’t.

Believing we can escape the consequences of expanding fossil fuels doesn’t make a 2 degree future less deadly!
