Probably obvious, but I’m pro-turnout. Everything I’ve learned and seen, from my animal welfare education (I’m a vet) to my personal experience with horses, tells me turnout is so important for them. If you can’t offer them some kind of turnout, you shouldn’t have horses.

Have u legit forgotten they’re alive with thoughts and feelings, and not a piece of equipment? “It’s not why you send them to a high end trainer” My dude, you do that because you can’t or don’t want to learn to train your own horse (with a pro). Your lacking is not a reason for them to suffer.

I’m convinced at this point it’s mostly a control issue - as in, the need to control every aspect of your horses life to the second.

I’m also tired of the aesthetics argument - lots of disciplines banned shaving whiskers for welfare, it’s time we treat the rest of turnout the same way.

Maybe in the future - this was my baby’s first body protector last year when I was dipping my toes in. I’m pretty sure for eventing, if you wear an air vest, you also need to wear a static protector vest or combo vest tho…

I bought mine online after trying a few on in person - for this particular model, there was a degree of shoulder gapping in all the sizes/shapes I tried.

Honestly, not unusual to have this kind of fit even when I’m buying clothes, just seems to be the shape I am.

My (Tipperary) does the same thing, and I find it annoying until I get going. I know some higher end ones now have shoulder adjustment straps, which may be helpful for folks like us 😜

My OTTB is like this - 24/7 round bale and daily grain, still struggled to build muscle/ maintain weight - we’ve been using Cool Calories for the last 2-3 months, and I’ve seen a big improvement.
