Venezuela is a quick nosh compared to confronting China. I think Trump is appeasing Putin and, especially, Xi - who he wants to meet with - by weakening US military readiness where it's most needed...which is lots closer to Putin and Xi. His abuse of our military in the US is impacting readiness now
