His girlfriend says he doesn't have the temperament to solve his mom's murder.

She's probably right.

Don't believe the lies your TV tells you: Sometimes neurodivergence makes you a much SHITTIER detective.

Angling it in the wrong direction is really upsetting! I mean, you might as well have done the last two letters in Comic Sans!

The Delaware Author Fair is coming up October 26th!

I'll be there with copies of my books (including my latest, the ADHD detective novel, A DARK HOLE DARKLY) and some fun giveaways!

If you're in the Wilmington area, please check it out!

I obsessively wash my bread knife but have never once used it.

It all averages out.
The only way to have a big tent is to leave bigotry at the door. (Or, um, flap I guess.)

If a person can't let go of their transphobia long enough to reject fascism, they are in fact doing the fascism.

They are not in the tent. They were never coming into the tent.
Not a lot of people know this, but if you don't check the "I'm not a robot" checkbox, Netflix is free.

Welcome to The 90s Never Happened podcast!

Follow along for nostalgia anti-venom for all those 90s comic books we don’t like to admit happened. Join Daniel Aegan, Jude Graves, and Brynn Rose as they discuss, dissect, and deliberate “classic” Marvel storylines and events.

You’ve been warned.
And that's it!!! I think our winners are gonna be these (mine, wife's, kiddo's).

What are yours???

10/
Stitch ate a cantaloupe?!? Also: Really good Minecraft Chicken Jockey.

9/
Nice use of plants/flowers on the owl, but don't think it all comes together.

8/
Or Daniel Tiger! Go @pbs.org kids!!!

7/
Ooh. K-Pop Demon Hunter petz may be our winner...

6/
Lorax was maybe (?) donated by the coal industry.

(No, I checked. They're an energy company but they're at least ostensibly pro-environmentally friendly energy solutions.)

5/
Cat and the Hat is well-executed, but feels a little soulless.

4/
(Technically that last one isn't one of the criteria, but I know my family.)

Anyway, here are some scarecrows:

3/
My family has arbitrarily decided that our judging criteria will be:

1. Use of Materials
2. Emotional Resonance
3. Overall Effect
4. Is from a Miyazaki movie
Every year for ADHD Awareness Month (or possibly Halloween?!?) @morrisarboretum.bsky.social hosts a scarecrow contest and visitors vote for the winners.

This year the theme is "cartoons."

Google sucks now and ChatGPT makes shit up, so I'm not sure if this is true BUT...

I think my novel A DARK HOLE DARKLY might be the world's first ADHD Detective novel?!?

But.

If it's not...?

It lays out a great case for why it should be THE LAST.

Buy your copy today.

Judge for yourself.

Time for the most fraught part of prepping for a book fair: the outfit. How to strike the right balance between "professional you would give money to" and "memorably goofy weirdo"?
(If I'm wrong, I would be *very excited* to be corrected.)

How else could he have thought to ask about the thing that people were talking about ahead of time?!?
Yeah. We've done a few years of made-at-home now (including Sans from Undertale and the, uh, "square" from Geometry Dash) so I don't feel guilty about "this year we're just going to buy you a thing."
For the longest time, our kiddo wanted to be the boss with a TV for a head!!!

(But seems to have moved on to Darth Vader in the final stretch.)
