I'm embarrassed to admit it, but I think being Mr Eggo for an afternoon would be my dream job.

In honour of Paul Simon's 84th birthday, an especially poignant song.
"And I don't know a soul who's not been battered
I don't have a friend who feels at ease
I don't know a dream that's not been shattered
Or driven to its knees ..."

If Buddy ever works a crossword writers convention he could use this in his set. Not sure if it'll bring down "A 5 letter word starting with 'H' where people live", but I think someone might buy him a drink after the show if he signs their program.

I heard some critic complaining that it was too upbeat ... not enough "darkness".
What's wrong with celebrating the life of someone who was kind and decent, and worked so hard to bring a little laughter and joy into the world?

Christmas in October? Well ... Last time I checked this book was on several bestseller lists (in both the US and Canada), so I recommend getting your order in sooner than later. Otherwise you may have to go with Plan B. (And Plan B is NEVER as good as Plan A—that's why it's called Plan B.)
