I'll say it: I think its rly annoying and frankly amateurish that writers are constantly told their villains must be understandable or have sympathetic motivation to be interesting or realistic when all our big villains irl are in fact rich, stupid, selfish, trickster dillweeds and always have been

I really like the show 9-1-1 It not like the best show but I love the characters stories and the craziness of it all. My fav character is Maddie She has some of my favorite lines and has my fav story development.

I mena that kind of what I ment lute was an angel holding the weapon so she didn’t think “sinners can also kill me with these” she just thought “Lute is so much stronger than me.”

It has to be the second one because I’ve told people and even shown people where it’s clearly stated and they either brush me off with “but she an Angel shouldn’t she just know?” or “its still bad writing if I didn’t get it right away.” 😭

it’s so crazy that the show even shows this. One of the first songs we hear had Adam saying “the rules are black and white.” And he litterly the villain who also judges Angel for being a crack head and gay! Litterly crazy to see people siding with the villains hypocritical logic.

Tbh I felt like that was pretty obvious. I got it when Lute said “they never have managed to kill one of us before” Vaggie obviously didn’t know sinner can use the weapons because the person who stabbed her in the eye was an Angel like her. Idk why people see it as a mistake personally.

This is like part of the problem that it hard to talk about Angel. no he was always writen a queer man he was always that way. people always make it so hard to have a discussion about his hyper sexuality when people just scream “gay stereotype” just because he is a gay man who likes sex.

People were more angry that Angel SA happened in a porn studio. And personally it doesn’t matter especially for show in fantasy setting. SA can happen anywhere and it doesn’t matter if the place looks like your personally ideal for “horror” or “respectable” ya know

Oh yeah, that’s definitely kind of true. Tuca and Bertie have a lot more wacky humor, and I find it so funny that they have all this wacky world building humor and then very serious topics like SA, Child Abuse, addictions, and sexual fantasies. Like her SA happens on a Lake made of Jelly.

I just think both are good rep personally. I honestly am more like Bertie but Angel Dust I connect with it in other ways that make me love him too. Even if it’s not the exact same. I don’t understand how other can’t see that.
