Yeah. Meta buying out Instagram spelled doom. I don't even bother looking at mine anymore. And I also can't being myself to delete it, it's a bit of a snapshot of my past. So it just lays there, dormant.

because of the whole "prophecy" trope.

Lionman on the other hand went really heavy into the "Dragonflight" plagiarism vibe. But it was 99% coincidental. I had a big chunk of that story invented before reading DF, and was devastated to discover it had already been done. And better. But that's life.

Starborn and Lionman are heavily influenced by Dune and the Dragonriders of Pern. Starborn doesn't really have obvious parallels, but several people have commented that the MC has strong Paul Atreides vibes, probably

Newest book, without a doubt was my attempted rip-off of Terry Pratchett. Really, there is no direct comparison (who could even come close to touching those heights) - but my main character is very similar to Tiffany

Yeah that is weird. Don't want to defend AI here, cause I hate it. But maybe it was one of the crap(er) ones, lol. I know, unless you pay for it, most have a character limit. It probably went well over your limit and instead of saying that, it just pretended everything was fine.

Last night I dreamt I got to rid in the machine from Carl Sagan's contact. It was built in a school, and was nothing like it was in the book or movie. I wish I remembered it better, because it was weird AF.

Don't forget. The guy who won the American election didn't win because of his horrible promises, he won because he asked enough people "Are you better off now than you were 4 years ago" (or whatever years it was).

I think I might have to stop playing computer games.

Feel like when I start I fall into a deep depression, don't get anything done, and just play games most of the day.

I think I average 0.2 books a year atm. But I also battle exhaustion, depression and laziness. So I don't have a particularly strong or consistent work ethic.

Authors, in the interest of helping readers spot gen ai 'authored' books, how many novels do you publish a year?

I publish one 80-100k+ word (epic fantasy) novel, and I can only do that because I drafted 8 novels before I started publishing any. 📚💙
