The part where you leave out she explicitly explains that by “strong” she means “strong enough to believes in their values and rebuke Trump ”

Unless you advocate for not having democracy, one party will be the more conservative one. And it’s bad if that party is easily hijacked by fascists!

2) I assume you mean the Great Depression. However, if you notice, tariffs started being passed by the House in May 1929—the Depression begins that same year. Moreover, equity markets don’t instantaneously react to macro factors, they react to events (e.g., bank collapses, announcement of econ data)

1) So you don’t know why people critique graphs with missing axes. The complaint is that without the axis, you can’t actually measure the magnitude, only the shape of the graph. However, this graph has multiple points labeled with the year. This is the same as labeling the x axis but easier to read
