People are responding to this with confused outrage (the ‘outrage’ part is fair fwiw), so as a reminder: lay-offs are to appease the stock market and Phil is saying this to shareholders.
The company isn’t worried about making you mad because you, ultimately, don’t matter. Only shareholders do.

I'm going to be honest here, I think AI is going to do so much damage to the usable internet that even after it's inevitably crashes out, it's going to take years to disentangle from every space it's polluted, like digital asbestos it's gonna be time consuming effort and likely expensive venture.

AI tools do not understand what is being asked, how they respond, or the concept of "a question"; they procedurally generate strings of words in an order that's based on algorithmic likelihood. there is nothing intelligent at play here, and i need everyone to internalize this. ai cannot be trusted.

I spent well over a month talking to investors to get the actual data behind what’s happening to the games industry. I was going to say “enjoy!” but it’s, uh, not great.
