Okay but if you've never kept an in character diary/journal I highly recommend it as a fun form of note taking.

I did this once and it was about 30% really useful information and 70% my character going on about his crush. That doesn't really count as a secret though, since everyone knew...

ummm that she has figured out how to read an ancient/lost language, that their party has befriended a demon, and that she's an avid hater of one of the most powerful organizations in the world (and she's pretty sure they're responsible for her mom's disappearance)
