Antarctica is a great place for seeing unusual light phenomena. Here's a couple of sun halos / sun dogs from early (left) and late in the season. Occurs when sunlight passes through a layer of ice crystals in the atmosphere. I happened to be up at 4am to capture the second one 😊

I set it all up. Will need to make some changes tomorrow but found out I can have airplay too as an app but i have to buy it. Of course no price in sight. Not really needed but having plex on a bigger screen is very good.

About Teen Vogue,
I don't read or care much for a lot of mainstream media, but Teen Vogue is the only consistent non-Native media outlet that has always done an incredible job reporting on Native issues and giving our talent a platform to shine and not just to fill their "diversity" quota.

Thanks again Simon. I'm now wondering about using my old apple tv on this tv and getting a 4k apple tv for my main screen which is samsung and slightly newer but don't mind me.

Going to try downloading plex on the firestick and see how that goes.

Just checked and "Downside is it doesn't have any casting/Airplay capabilities" so I might have to find something else. I have the firestick but haven't taken it out of the box yet.

Realised that I want airplay AND plex. It still might be ok though.

Thanks Simon. I dont know what a WD player is. Same for Dish TV. Have heard of Chromecast.

My main mission is to get the tv on my wifi so i can use it as display (airplay) from my mac. It would be great to use Plex too.

We should talk about plex too sometime offline :)

There was one other stick at shop but the *assistant* says this was better because full support for plex. I bought it and will plug in tonight to test.

The tv is about 10? Years old. It has usb connector but apparently there is no wifi on a usb directly that works. This is a workaround.

Does anyone i know use an amazon firestick.

I have an old tv that I’m hoping to get on the wifi. Panasonic Viera with HDMI & other connectors including ethernet?

I use Plex mostly and that is apparently a supported app.

Not interested in amazon or netflix but they work too i hear. On a mac

I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.

certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.

This. It is a terrible breach of tie social compact / contract.

We have enough scofflaws around in the general population already. Don’t need any more.

Btw: the Scofflaw word came from prohibition days in the US. The law & police lose respect that hard to regain.
