Ok, I agree, I think we are doing something that is on balance helpful. If it becomes unhelpful I am not going to hesitate on reversing this. I appreciate that you're asking questions that are worth asking, but we are on top of this.

Ok. I am using the term "license" here loosely, it is more of a TOS, I am not a lawyer either. We have an open thread about this already with an actual lawyer. I appreciate your concern. We believe we are striking a balance between benefiting researchers and developers and protecting users. Thanks.

In order to access this dataset you need to provide contact information and agree to a restrictive usage license designed to limit abuses of the dataset. We will be logging download events and will enforce the licensing. This wont allow anonymous downloads which I think was the problem last time

We are currently on AWS and our data is already stored in S3. We are profoundly bandwidth constrained as a team (I work 10-16 hours a day 7 days a week on Graze right now) and this is the fastest thing we can do to incrementally add value to the ecosystem.
