The dead don't have sovereignty over the living. Two generations ago, hating the French was considered a core part of the German identity. Generational changes in how a people see and define themselves are possible. But I do agree it will be difficult with the Russians.

That's unfortunately the thing we have no influence over. It will be up to Tuvans, Chechens, Bashkirs, Tatars, Chuvashs, Buryats, Yakuts, Mokshas, and others to cast aside the Russian yoke, not just physically, but also over their minds.

But that's not how it works in oppressive empires. That's why russia still an empire and still exists. It doesn't matter the numbers if all those also think they are russian because they already have no language, no culture, and so on.

10 years from now, there will be a huge young population in the ethnic minority regions of Russia. Larger than the young population among ethnic Russians. And it will be a fatherless generation. Because their fathers were sent to die by the Russians. There is a lot of potential for disruption there.
