No, but Jason's nanotech from JASON X allows him to absorb traits from those he kills and evolve... which gets intense at the end when he kills a queen and becomes a biomechanoid monstrosity - replete with chitinous alien armor that his hockey mask has melded into!
Knocked out a big comic book pitch doc today, and then, for shits and giggles, I wrote a one-pager treatment for a JASON X sequel called... wait for it... JASON VS. ALIEN VS. PREDATOR. Obviously just for fun, but it keeps the gears oiled, and it's absolutely a movie I'd pay to see!
Oh yeah, mine is different. It's the official one.
Yeah, there are a couple of different ones, and this seems to be the most legit. Also found a Myers House lamp!
Just bought this Jason Voorhees water burial lamp for my new apartment. Because it's "holy shit" awesome!

Here's a photo of my friend and colleague, Jorge Bautista, getting shot in the face with a flashbang grenade. The ICE Agent is so afraid of Jorge (who was posing no threat) that he has wet himself. Please share this photo. Everyone needs to know what cowards ICE agents are.

The chile relleno burrito from Establos Carniceria in Camarillo is god-level. I'm soooo full!
Yeah, you're not getting anything remotely like this over there!
One great thing about L.A. is that you can stop into any random Mexican dive and get some of the best food of your life. Picked up this 3 taco plate (lengua, cabeza, al pastor) at the nearby carniceria.

Damn, I love California.
Got BATTLEFIELD 6, and it looks like I'll be spending a few days training on it. Boy, first person shooters have become a lot more intense!
And I agree. I'm not much of a fan of Superboy in general. I vastly prefer the normal life before Metropolis as well.
Yeah, WB was in the early stages of developing BATMAN BEGINS at that point. SMALLVILLE is basically an X-FILES riff with its "kryptonite freak of the week" procedural routine. *Very* much of its time (costumes were still considered "embarrassing") but yeah, Welling and Rosenbaum are solid.
Randomly rewatched a couple eps of SMALLVILLE. Man, this show really reeks of early 2000s WB teen drama, right dwn to that theme song ("Somebody saaaaaaave me!") but it must be said that Tom Welling has a wonderful boyish charm, and Michael Rosenbaum makes for a great Lex Luthor.

Crikey... at the most recent count, I have a little over a thousand films on disc and fifteen hundred on digital.

Not a bad start!
Revisiting THE IRISHMAN for the first time since its release in 2019. I liked it a lot then, but it's fair to say that I absolutely adore it now.
I'm in the midst of packing. On November 9th, I'm moving into what will be the nicest apartment in which I've ever lived. It's in Camarillo, about 45 minutes north of LA. So it's close enough to the madness but still quiet and suburban. Cannot wait to set up my new writing den!
Haven't watched it yet. Decided to revisit the OG first.
It's a chilly, rainy day, so I'm revisiting this 80s cheese classic directed by my old friend Kevin Tenney. It's a passably decent exploitation film that taps into the Satanic Panic of the 80s in a reasonably fun way. Not to mention it features Tawny Kitaen in her Whitesnake era.
Happy Saturday night, my peeps! Betcha didn't know that you needed this amazing cover of "We Built This City" by Ninja Sex Party in your life... but you definitely need it, and here it is!

I really dug it. Not at all what I was expecting, but that's a good thing. Most of the crew did their best acting here, and a LOT happened to build up the overarcing story of "Gods and Monsters" in the DCU. Curious how close he'll stick to what Salvation was really meant for in the comics.
Loved the PEACEMAKER season finale, which clearly sets up SO MUCH for Gunn's DCU. As a comic nerd, I instantly geeked out when I heard the name "Salvation." And even moreso when Checkmate was formed. These two instances are definitely a big clue for what happens next. Can't wait!
