im not defending pokemon fans but the problem with their games visuals isnt that they look like ps2 games. the problem is that they just look kinda bad.
there were bad looking ps2 games. and then there were games that can still make your jaw drop.

tbf nintendo didn't help their case here. because they actually commented on the price, by saying that it will make sense once more details will be revealed. so people expected life-changing game. in the end it ended up becoming somewhat divisive and frustrating to a lot of people

frankly insane that 20-ish years ago some devs in japan said "how do we adapt mystery dungeon for pokemon," someone said "why don't we have the player be a pokemon," and as a direct result i now wear a collar and have about 5 online friends that identify as the mythical pokemon mew

im not even mad per say. its just so funny to me.
the game shows him to be clearly in pain from being under mind-control. kirby acts shocked. bandana dee talks about how this is abnormal behavior for him. he sacrifices himself for the sake of one waddle dee and kirby.
