But that would exclude the many millions of women like me whose endometriosis was overlooked by male doctors who told us it was all in our head. Sorry to be ‘that person’ but my experience of the NHS has been appalling at times.

It once went off whilst I was interviewing someone remotely (for her, not for me). She kept getting up and waving her hands to keep the lights on. And not even my weirdest interview.

The majority in my friendship group are older than me and have grown up kids. There’s been stuff I was unable to do because of childcare when their kids had already flown the nest. But with effort we kept it going. And thank Christ we did, because they keep me sane.
