I'd like to know who's hosting the "how do we sell democratic VALUES to younger Americans?" meeting. B/c make no mistake, this is a SALES problem. Tell a better story, better. #BetterDems

I'm seeing the smartest border collies separate out the "bad" sheep from the "good" sheep and yelling, Baby, no, collect ALL Americans. In this analogy, the dog and I are sheep, too. We SHARE values at high levels. Sales tactics make us BUY crap and PROMOTE crap. Deprogram these kids. #BetterDems

When someone shows you their societal programming, get to work reprogramming. Any human brain is vulnerable to sales tactics the wealthiest people on the planet have spent generations learning and perfecting. Doing battle means knowing your enemy. Division is their goal, not ours. #BetterDems

aw, come on, try a little hope. I know it can break your heart but it doesn't have to. A little expectation-setting, a little "grace," and you, too, can dance in the street with anyone willing to dance with you. It's just dancing. It's not a slippery slope unless you grease your shoes.

Normalize allowing porn at work just as a metric for whether or not managers are challenging underlings enough in terms of the size and importance of the assignments they're being given and/or allowed to seek independently. Also a good way to measure various problem-solving skills and judgement.

When your brain says ANXIETY, it can mean, "Help, life's too easy" and then creatively invents all sorts of interesting speed bumps to paralyze you OR "Help, everything's too hard" and creatively invents disaster scenarios to paralyze you. Your job is to ski right down the middle whenever possible

#BetterDems When you take criticism (especially from the media) as training, you can rely on them to always point out the best possible next skill you might want to work on. Don't get defensive. Use it to get stronger. Or lean into the "mean" brand, @katieporteroc.bsky.social if it seems OK strategy
