They are peace officers given exceptional powers. They can’t be seen as being impartial and objective law enforcement if they get to proclaim from the rooftops which laws they like and which they don’t, no more than our armed forces can. They should not be political actors.

Police are there to enforce the law, not to lobby for legislation of any kind - that’s the job of others: civilians, politicians, media, NGOs, etc.
Cops should stay in their lane.
The further we allow them to go in behaving like this arrogant union leader, the more 🇺🇸American we will become.
