I was going to wait until 10:01 on 01/10 but frankly I'm too excited (and not that excited by numerology).

SEA OTTERS, the 2nd LP by my almost-techno side The Bionics, is out now. Please enjoy and repost to support tiny artists, thank you very much x

If I was on Traitors I’d have to insist on matinee round tables because all those late nights would be the death of me.

What a guy, and he looks like a parallel universe Mark E. Smith to boot.

It’s the 111th anniversary today of the birth of Harry Rée, who was a teacher and conscientious objector when the Second World War broke out, and by the time it ended, when he was 31, had invented ‘blackmail sabotage’ and got a DSO, an OBE, a Croix de Guerre, and a Medaille de la Resistance
b/w photo of a man in socks and sandals, jacket, short and jumper, in front of a wall with a bike leaning on it, and with a pipe in his mouth. If you wanted one image to sum up the word ‘nonchalant’, this would be it

Good For You, and I promise I really mean it, not in a sarky way. x

Indeed, and I hope they do but it does rather feel like the govt is paralysed by fear of upsetting people who would never vote Labour in a million years anyway. As if some wee spad's continually banging on about optics.

Oh good, something new for the TV pundits and columnists to scream about.

I'm very pleased for Ireland though.

Fair enough, though I don't find filling an LP torture, quite the opposite. And I like a limit of around 45 mins as opposed to the way my heart would sink putting in a new CD and seeing it was 18 tracks and 72 minutes ("well, you last six aren't ever going to get played then")

Yes, they've gone a bit samey for me of late. I think the Fussball one was the most recent one I loved. But I did see Alex DJing a couple of years ago and it was plain BANGIN.

I know @jennylandreth.bsky.social has legitimate concerns about numbers being fat or thin.

Labubu does sound like one of those cutesy childish names for a lady's you-know-what.

Does being a Jehovah's Witness forbid one from accepting a gong? Or maybe it precludes it?
danmud.bsky.social
Well, thank you for not being afraid to rattle people (on TV) who would never be on our side anyway.
danmud.bsky.social
And it doesn't apply in my constituency as Labour has never won here.
danmud.bsky.social
It's a matter of principle and conscience I'm afraid.
danmud.bsky.social
Well, the baseplate is plastic I guess. And card sleeves are much better quality these days, as @quietdetails.bsky.social CDs show.
danmud.bsky.social
I won't use digipacks again though, every little helps.

There's a story I heard about from a dedicated environmentalist friend along the lines of someone being so conscious of doing anything bad they ended up not doing anything at all and then disappearing altogether. I was very grateful to her for telling me that.

Oh shit, now I'm wondering whether trying to sell my music on CD is at odds with my new Green Party membership...

"Here it is chaps, the wildlife photograph of the year!"

I couldn't resist my curiosity and bought a s/h copy of Brooklyn's book. It's fascinating in its way. You've already seen the worst two (this and the out-of-focus dinner party), the best ones are of him (and there's a lot of pics of him) taken by his mates.

I've just replaced my membership of the Labour party (30+ years) for membership of the Greens.

It does help, thank you very much.

One thing I love about Autumn is starting work on the calendar I give my brothers for Christmas each year. Rummaging through our dad's box of slides for treasures like this.
Slide taken in c.1972. A campsite scene with our mother and us four boys in front of a blue canvas tent, and parked next to it is the Ford Anglia that got us there.
