Glad it’s not just me. Several times a week for years now 🙄
How are you finding it a few days later? UI still infuriating… but the usual ‘just one more match/signing’ drive is strong? I’m enjoying the new tactics & actually having to watch more match due to lots of the data being removed (heatmaps etc).

to be fair... I filled out a form at my doc's at 8.00am on the dot this morning and it's been reviewed by a GP already, prescription is waiting for collection and added to repeat list for future. Which is very good service. And I guess they do only have so much capacity to do that each day.
*sets auto-response on work email to send this at all hours outside 8.00-8.05am*
it does reek of "that'll have to do for now" repeated over and over again 😕
Sums up my experiences nicely over the weekend. I want to like it, and the actual games/tactics do seem much improved. But the UI nerd in me cries every time that 20 rows of data could be shown and instead 3 are with a scroll bar etc etc
Should have guessed that’s why that had gone quiet!

It just hit me how much time has passed, and how much has happened, there may be younger generations that don't know about him.
I don't want him to be forgotten.
Share his story and keep fighting for a fair Internet ❤️
Today is the birthday of one of my heroes, Aaron Swartz (1986 2013).
It is thanks to him that we have Reddit and Creative Commons as we know them.
He fought for freedom of information and the internet.
He was a victim of corporate greed and a corrupt system: JSTOR & the US.

Ahh #Traitors is just a joy isn’t it?!

I was thinking I might have to write about the broad consensus in the finance community that we are in a crazy AI bubble, but mercifully @davekarpf.bsky.social has it covered -- with a nod to my Enron analogy from 25 years ago (thanks Dave).
Everyone agrees that we're currently in a dotcom era-like AI bubble. People disagree what sort of bubble it is.

There are 3 stories one can tell about the dotcom crash: a startup story, a telecom story, and an accounting fraud story.

My take: it's giving Enron

I'd imagine a few days of asking every MP who is interviewed on air a random A-Level English question should put paid to that pretty quickly
1. Probably Chernobyl too - especially living near Sellafield ☢️
2. Everton winning League / Cup / League 83-85 (also Ian Rush stopping more wins in said period) ⚽️

Follow policy. I’d guess a pretty hefty warning for misconduct. Knowing schools in this country waste dozens of hours involving a lot of unions and faff and end up nowhere with any of it 🙄
I love me some AI in the right narrow use cases. But this one….. hoooooo no! I would be voting with my feet in that one. Once your video likeness is inside that black box it’s in there for good. I’ll take every year I can get where that isn’t the case thanks very much.
Came here to say exactly this 🤦‍♂️
Heart would say Tea, head would say flapjack. So depends how smished I am!
So much prog 😫. I think you’re probably right though.

Am wondering if all of those suddenly deciding they’re against communities living “parallel lives” might reconsider their support of religious schools? Or indeed private ones?
My parents just moved house. Managed to clear a considerable amount of junk. But turned out books didn't make the cut. I recently put many boxes of books like these into their new garage loft space. Pretty confident said boxes won't get opened in their lifetime 🫤
Thank goodness for the block button so we don’t have to view racist idiots like Larry any longer than a single post.
