It’s so hard to have my kid somewhere every other week where his feelings are being constantly hurt and his needs are neglected. Harder to live it for sure but it physically hurts to leave him/pick him up.

BREAKING: A *separate* federal court in Rhode Island just ordered the Trump admin to pay for SNAP benefits during the shutdown — saying the government "must distribute" aid using emergency funds and that the benefits should be paid as soon as possible.

The squirrels in my yard have adopted a weave or wig as a door. They recently gave it a trim (leaving the trimmings all over my yard). It’s…really something to watch them lift up their little human hair doorway and pop in/out. 😬 Happy Halloween?

My husband, who hated spiders deeply until a few months ago, and I are texting each other from opposite ends of the house about our search for the huge jumping spider who hitched a ride into the house last week (who he named Albert) and our hope that he has not perished. I’m so fucking lucky 🥰🥰

Years ago when I was on SNAP (we called it Link) I would tutor my hairdresser's son in exchange for getting my hair done. I got my teeth cleaned at a student clinic for $10 IIRC and my nails done by a friend in the cosmetology program who always needed people to practice on. Community 101

It annoys me when people say “they’re on SNAP but their hair and nails are done and they’ve got tattoos”. It’s extremely normal to do your own hair and buy press on nails, and tattoos literally last forever. What do tattoos someone got 10 years ago have to do with them needing to eat now
