maybe there’s a specialized software that i can hunt down. it’s so hard to articulate the query though lol.

the one thing i was thinking about was in itunes you could adjust the start and end time of tracks. you could go negative too. maybe that’s like cleverly adjusting the markers you mentioned.

how do they get CDs to do different shit depending on how it plays?

if i’m remembering this right i had a cd that played the entirety of track 4 if you let it play from track 3. but if you just skip directly to track 4 it cuts the intro off to just play what equated to like a ‘single version.’
