Like to get out and about in nature as much as my health allows (long term ME/CFS) so expect a mix of landscape/wildlife photos and venting about politics/current affairs

Unfortunately, on that showing I'd be hard pressed to vote for any of them. The only highlight was Welsh Dave getting handed his arse by a member of the audience when immigration was discussed.

Ffs he was introduced as helping them to write their health policy #newsnight

If you read the article, only 4 reverting from 20mph back to 30mph and 3 actually going from 30 to 20......
But most people will only see the headline and get the wrong idea as usual

Well the only thing I learnt from that #Caerphilly debate is that TV debates are a waste of time .... oh and Labour's Richard Tunicliffe is delusional

I hate to say this, but if i was eligible to vote in the #Caerphilly #Senedd By-Election and was using tonight's #BBCWales debate to make my decision......so far, I wouldn't bother getting out of bed to vote next Thursday 🤦‍♂️

Trying to make sense of the nonsensical decision to drop the Chinese spying prosecutions

How the positions of neither the CPS nor the government stand up to scrutiny

By me

emptycity.substack.com/p/trying-to-...
The more one knows about this case, the more confusing it becomes.

The CPS insists on further evidence it does not require, and the government insists it could not give that evidence, even though it could.

Neither side makes sense, and together they make no sense absolutely.

With time, it's easy to forget just how ridiculously dreadful those Tory governments were.....then you see Gavin Williamson and Therese Coffey on #Newsnight
cymruwanderer.bsky.social
I guess that means vote Tory get Labour, and vice versa ..... at least that's what we're told when it involves Plaid Cymru 🤔

Richard Tunnicliffe is the Labour candidate in the Caerphilly.

So a Labour candidate, wants you to vote Labour, to get him elected to a Labour run Senedd, to tell a Labour run council to spend UK Labour provided money to not close libraries that a Labour council are trying to close. Simple.

Last week I was at the Plaid Cymru conference.

Based on the current polls, they are the party most likely to lead the Welsh Government after May's election.

This would mean a monumental change to Welsh politics. You can read my analysis here:

Good news, and all it took was an impending electoral wipeout....not that I'm cynical or anything

My new piece about Nathan Gill and Nigel Farage for @thenerve_news in which we ask:

Why, even now, is no-one asking questions?

Being Welsh is about belonging and shared values.

I was a loud south-east London girl who became Welsh, heart and soul.

Our Wales is one that welcomes, includes and builds, not one that divides.

Proud to close an inspiring weekend at Plaid Cymru conference 💚🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Re: Nation of Sanctuary 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿
There’s a lot of confusion about “Nation of Sanctuary”, so here’s what it really means 👇

It’s a *resettlement scheme* to help people the UK Government has *already* given asylum to.

Welsh Government doesn’t control immigration, and it can’t choose who comes here. It *must* take in people the UK Home Office sends here - by law.

So Welsh Government set up a plan to do that, and called it Nation of Sanctuary - just like Scotland called theirs The New Scots Strategy, and NI has its Northern Ireland Refugee Resettlement Scheme.

Labour's failure to get the basics right in literacy and numeracy is letting our children down.

A Plaid Cymru government will invest in our children's future, with a new plan to help pupils thrive.

Parents should not have to choose between work and childcare.

A Plaid Cymru government will deliver a universal new childcare offer for children aged 9 months to 4 years – worth over £30,000 in childcare costs in the first four years of a child’s life.

Feeble response from Farage..... but maybe the fact that he felt it necessary to address it at all, shows he is feeling pressure from this story
