Seems like the vast majority of fuel imports come from Russia, do they even have the infrastructure to import from China? Break of gauge could be a problem for fuel trains.

ACLU reporting that “several of the 6 women detained at South Louisiana ICE Center in Basile, LA, & Stewart Detention Center in Lumpkin, GA were pregnant & have miscarried while in custody.”

0 outrage from MAGAs about these fetuses. They were never about life. They are only about control of women.
Ceaușescu did the original Ceaușescu speedrun! On December 15th his government tried to evict a priest and was met with minor protests, on December 25th he was executed.

I tend to think of affordable housing as less a category to be built and more a target to obtain as in, "build so much market rate housing that the market rate is broadly affordable."

That can and should involve a lot of government financing and public housing projects.
Motherfucker we have a market economy. Somebody going to make profit building shit. That's how it works. That's why they do it.
"no one should make a profit building necessary housing" is one of those things that sounds based and radical... for like half a second, before you finish thinking it through

people who aren't deeply yimbypilled have no conception of how much building codes are just written by random "technocrats" with no connection to either voters or actual expertise
It seems he's a UT Austin architecture professor who was "shocked" to learn that windowless bedrooms weren't illegal when a student mentioned to him a few years ago that they live in one. So he immediately set out to ban them, without investigating/considering any broader context for why they exist.
Yeah that's one theory as to why they haven't been doing any big surge in NYC and sticking to courthouse arrests.
Was this when they had mercury in them too?
Political parties in Mexico do this but they are mostly just distributing government-supplied food aid.
If I were running the DNC, there would be Democratic Party sponsored food relief banks across the country right now that specifically welcomed anyone regardless of party affiliation.

Along with the food, there could be voter registration and links to runforsomething.net
My aunt in NY state had a multi day outage at her house, they were cooking in the fireplace, and the power lines are underground there. I think the neighborhood transformer blew up or something.
I've only had a couple of multi hour outages in the past year and both were because a car crashed into a pole (the most recent one was a cop car, even)

Azov never would have existed at all without the russian invasion, in more ways than one. The people who formed the original Azov battalion had some ties to russian intelligence that everyone just sweeps under the rug.
The funny thing is that Russia was trying to do a colonialism *in Mexico*, it's just that it was in the first half of the 19th century.

Portland City Councilor @counciloravalos.bsky.social woke up to her car and home engulfed in flames late last night. She had to grab her cat and escape to safety.

As we see reports of relatively record turnout so far in early voting for the NYC mayoral election, keep in mind that something like a seventh of the adult population is completely locked out of voting after it seemed, briefly, like we would be able to finally participate
Ahead of Mayor Race, Noncitizen New Yorkers Grapple with a Voting Policy Failure to Launch - Bolts
For a brief moment, it seemed some noncitizen New Yorkers may gain the right to vote locally. But with the law struck down earlier this year, they remain at the margins.

I think she might be Mexican though. Which, uh, is its own topic.
So you know how American imperialism has screwed LatAm countries? That's basically the same with Russian imperialism and Ukraine. Even if that's not your intent you're repeating the talking points of people who rant about spheres of influence.
What this implies about Ukrainian long range strike capabilities is kind of funny.
They hadn't been hitting Moscow not because they couldn't but because they didn't feel like it.

thinking about how bernard fucking sanders said trump was better on immigration and the border. fucking disgrace.

re: trump polling at only -3 on crime, I want to once again remind everyone that we have *virtually zero* visibility on what is happening the personal belongings and property of every immigrant that is black bagged and disappeared. The apartments, homes, and businesses that are found empty.
Nazis is when Ukrainian exists as a language? When people resist Russian imperialism?
