Minor spoilers:

The very privileged characters keep giving Kaladin a hard time for being “grumpy” when he has a literal slave brand burned into his skin

It’s just annoying how people talk to him when the evidence of the inequality is literally on his face

I really hope that Brandon Sanderson addresses the difference between personal trauma and systemic trauma and issues.

Because right now they keep on being thrown around with the same weight and they are really not the same.

RIP Drew Struzan - a man whose talent and imagination etched onto so many minds throughout the last 40+ years.

His art & posters are some of the first visuals I think of when I think about cinema - an invitation to watch these stories and worlds.

My ADHD brain NEEDS separation of spaces

But it also has other fun features:

-a set opening and closing time
(This creates a deadline for ADHD brains so we can’t keep putting it off)

-body doubling
(The librarians & others are usually working too!)

-all the other resources they offer!

Reminder that your local library is an awesome resource

I have a hard time doing any form of cognitive work of at home

It’s why I could never do homework at *home*

Now if I need to get work done of any kind I just go to my library

Quick thoughts, so while Sanderson is obviously great at plot and characters, I realized what he does for the reader emotionally

He does conflict and characters over coming it really well

Emotionally that is what is satisfying about his books beyond raw technical interesting plot
