I hope you’re all doing ok.
I'll be upset but not surprised if Canva (Affinity's new owner) has forced them to do something shitty.
Two weeks now until we find out what's going on with Affinity and its creative apps.

I have been extremely pleased with Affinity Photo in particular as a Photoshop alternative, and if they fuck with my license or fuck the app up with AI shit I'm going to be upset.
Same. And I've found precisely *nothing* that can't do in Linux that I could do in Windows. Nothing.
Did you call the "How's my driving" number? I have occasionally enjoyed relaying stories about bad behavior to those numbers.
Antisemitism is just a tool for them to use, it's not a moral concern. A lever to pull to achieve desired results.
All morning long people have been losing their minds at Stancil for saying, essentially, the same thing that HRC is saying here.
In two days, be a part of the largest peaceful protest in modern American history.

Join No Kings this Saturday at an event near you to push back on Trump's power grabs and make it clear—we don't do monarchs here. nokings.org
No Kings
As the president escalates his authoritarian power grab, the NO KINGS non-violent movement continues to rise stronger. We are united once again to remind the world: America has No Kings and the power ...

Happy to oblige, shithead
There's a strain of protest commentary that insists that we are accomplishing nothing if we're not breaking windows and burning down police stations and I think that's fucking stupid.
Talia, you should consider the possibility that Ken (and others) understand something about all of this that you don't. Your finger-wagging disapproval of protests that aren't confrontational enough is more divisive than what he's posting.
That's great. Mare's lucky!

This isn't the first time that I, as an American, have read about something the SNP is doing/advocating and thought to myself "Hmm. Those folks seem smart!"
Growing up in Berkeley I'd occasionally hear about Nazi skinheads showing up a local venues for shows and getting beat up, kicked out. Was surprised then that there WERE Nazi skinheads. Not surprised now. But it was better when they knew they were wrong and rejected.
It's wild to me what stays expensive over time vs what gets cheap.

Bought a new (not refurbed) Brother laser printer for $135. Bottom, most minimal model they make, and it's still 30+ ppm and 1200dpi.

i hope this guy is ok but also this imagery is perfect to undermine the fascists
I hope it's a great novel.
I love all of these women so very much.

For All Mankind has some of the best female leads in any TV show, hands down. Smart, capable, multidimensional, evolving, and attending to their own lives.

The frogs shall come up on you and on your people and on all your officials."

'A simple way to put it is that this is a group of people used to getting everything that they wanted, and they weren’t getting everything that they wanted, and that became intolerable. And I think that’s something we heard directly from them sometimes.'

As a part of my Linux move, I've finally gotten all of my files & data in one place, more or less organized. Very satisfying, frankly.

Now doing a deduped backup (w/borg) of ~ (3.2TB!)
I might have watched it if it had someone other than Leto in it.
Watched The Greatest Beer Run Ever tonight. A better and more interesting film than I'd anticipated going in.
