Hope baseball can be saved by the small-market team that features homegrown stars George Springer and Kevin Gausman and Chris Bassitt and Jeff Hoffman and Anthony Santander and Shane Bieber and Max Scherzer and
I wonder how they wound up with Springer and Gausman on their team
The lead announcer for MLB on ESPN for years thinks paying players is ruining baseball but 20 teams around the league not adding anyone every offseason is just great. what an asshole
Sources: Shohei Ohtani is en route to Toronto. A representative of his agency, CAA, would not comment when asked about Ohtani's travel plans.
Congrats to @cdgoldstein.baseballprospectus.com, whose favorite team advanced to the World Series tonight.
I'm legitimately sad for Mariners fans, earnestly happy for Blue Jays fans, and as a fan of a team who was eliminated from contention before the season even started, legitimately thrilled with how much fun these playoffs have been.
Give Scherzer the ninth IMO
This game is very much not over and it's particularly not over if Chris Bassitt is coming in the game
Some AJ Pierzynski shit if I've ever seen it
The answer is yes, it appears
Also does Josh Naylor have a concussion
Is that illegal? I actually don't know.
That always pissed me off about Terry Bevington when I was a kid.
Logan Gilbert has resting droopy dog face
Why did the Chargers decide to become the Savannah Bananas today
Austin police department also did this for the protest that took place on Greg Abbott's doorstep.
Texas Tech really just ran a speed option on 4th and 6 from the 7
Pat Hentgen available
Everyone is potentially available for the Blue Jays in Game 6, including Max Scherzer.

"Everyone will be available that is physically available. You'll see some guys that you normally don't see (in the bullpen)."
Yeah Prairie Street is more about the vibes and atmosphere and Carlyle is more about the beer (while also having great atmosphere), I think. I also loved Oasis for its unique selection, but I think that's been gone a while? Sang karaoke at Kryptonite dozens of times.
I couldn't even begin to count the number of times we'd close down Carlyle after putting out the paper at the news tower next door. Great memories. But it's still wild to be that downtown Rockford has a place as nice as that new brewery (it will always be new to me since it opened after I left)

The No Kings March in Chicago is one of the largest gatherings I’ve seen here. Looking down from by the river, the crowd stretches for blocks down Michigan Ave and wraps around Wacker Dr. This video is from a few minutes ago and the end of the protest is nowhere in sight.

this rocks. when indiana edu killed the student newspaper, Purdue stepped up, printed the forbidden issue, drove it to Bloomington and stocked the boxes.
Tended to @doctor1hundred.bsky.social’s good boys today and they both said “you are not father” but also “we will still accept your pets.”
Blake Treinen is here to ensure that there's still at least some level of uncertainty as to whether or not this series ends tonight
