The first thing I’ve learned from this book is to build the branch or tree in short lines, not taking long strokes like I’d previously been doing. The short lines give you room to add notches and more organic shapes.

I got a new book on #drawing foliage! I’ve mostly been trying to get better at drawing #trees and #bushes.
This #book is good for seeing the phases that go into a drawing. But it doesn’t have any accompanying text, so you Really need to study each phase and play with it #art

I’d say this book is not really the best for beginners, as the progressions have no explanation as to the thinking. So I think to use this book to retain new practices will be tough.

In my opinion the monarchy is not the issue. The ‘first past the post’ voting system is soo obviously broken, it’s laughable. But it doesn’t get changed because the winner is the one who gets to change it.. 😩

I’m not the most informed on it, but from my understanding, the UK monarchy is more of a tourist attraction and used to support international relations.
But I could imagine if the genuine cost of repairing and hosting them outweighed their return value, that could be politicised to their end.

I’ve always been comfortable against the flow. In reflection, as a teenager, I was often rebellious without a cause. And that can burn ourselves.
