I can't get over the cruelty of targeting special ed for layoffs. even my libertarian dad will tell you that special ed programs are one of the most important things the federal government ever did.

NYT - Hamas holds hostages, while Israel holds prisoners. The racist dehumanization of Palestinians in the NYT is so deeply embedded that the paper would probably spontaneously combust if its writers and editors treated Palestinians as human beings equal to their Jewish Israeli counterparts.
