Nope. He only hit credit because he wasn’t a “heathen” or “barbarian” like Eric the Blue (a Viking) or Zheng He (Chinese Admiral). Both of whom stepped foot on our lands hundreds of years prior to Columbus. They don’t teach that in US history classes or books.

Eric the Blue, a Viking, arrived here hundreds of years before Columbus. He’s the father of Eric the Red.
Zheng He, a Chinese admiral also reached our lands hundreds of years before Columbus. Just because they were “heathens & barbarians” doesn’t mean they don’t deserve credit.

The fact that protests now feature people who don’t normally have to worry about what might happen to them in an adverse encounter with security forces is a HUGE DEAL.

It means that the “real” victims don’t have to suffer alone. It means that some people care about something more than themselves

Yeah, no. To push back on these people we need everyone — especially those with relative privilege — to get up and get involved.
