Winter is coming, and we are still living in tents. My children shiver from the cold; their clothes are worn out and their shoes are torn. I just wish to buy them some warmth β€” clothes and shoes to protect them from Gaza’s harsh winter.

We need you ❀️

My child shivered from the cold every night.

He doesn't have warm winter clothes, and I'm afraid he'll get sick.

He's hungry... We've run out of his sugar medication and food.

Please don't let an innocent child suffer like this. Your support could save him ❀️

Abd is not on here often, although he was a fairly early bluesky user and one of the first people from Gaza that I have talked to. He has been having a very difficult time for a long time. Please keep him in your thoughts and help if you are able.

Absolutely πŸ’― πŸ’― πŸ’― πŸ’― Cash is king.
It's shocking how many foodbamks require a government ID, proof of income, and a mailing address to even begin the process of getting food.
This may not align ideologically, but if you want to help people in your community, you have to go where the people in need are going. And many of them are going to these churches. Especially because a lot of them don't have income or ID requirements to receive food. 2/2
When donating to foodbanks, I recommend staying hyper local. If you're in a big metro area, you'll probably have options via Feeding America. If you're in a small city or rural area, this means you may have to give to church-run food pantries. 1/2

i hate it when people give out reckless and irresponsible firearms advice online. you don't want to use anything less than .300wm when shooting appliances inside your home.
My personal recommendation on a response if your washer, refrigerator, or thermostat asks for your WiFi password or wants you to download an app. Use a 9mm or larger because you don't want them to suffer when you put them down.
Correction... when the thermostat died, the HVAC neighbor gave me an EcoBee smart thermostat. When it asked for the wifi password...
2/2 - I would really rather spend my holiday time off traveling or just not having to be around anyone. Would it be cruel of me to tell my parents "Hey so I know none of the other siblings are in town, but do you mind if I leave you here?"
Friends, I need some advice.

I'm the only child free one of my siblings. This makes holidays kind of a weird time. I don't enjoy spending time with my siblings' families, but when they travel, my parents are generally on their own for the holiday. So I become the default host for them.

The weather got really bad out here for a hot minute and the wind blew my patio door open. I had to run out and secure it with some cord and got absolutely soaked. So now I'm bundled up in front of my faux fireplace space heater like somekind of Victorian child trying to ward off consumption. πŸ˜‚

I'm tired of posting every day to help rebuild my life. It really exhausts me psychologically after the genocide and losing everything. I hope someone would help me all at once or everyone at the same time.
We survived the genocide in Gaza, but our dreams and ambitions did not. Everything was destroyed, but we still dream. Support us here to rebuild everything we lost and protect ourselves from the effects of this genocide.

*on the phone*

Mom: My Word toolbar vanished.

Me: Don't worry. Hit Ctrl + F1 on your keyboard.

Mom: Okaaaay

Me: *pours a glass of water. Fixes my sink. Pets the cats*

Dad: No, you hit Fn, you need to hit F1.

Mom: It didn't work.

Me: *deep breath* Did you hit them at the same time?

Mom: Ohhh
Since I just mentioned Lucille Ball in a comment: For most of my childhood, I thought her name was Lucy O'Ball.
Also: Lucille Ball is one of the only reasons Star Trek even exists.
My parents and siblings all say how much they enjoy how quiet my place is. This is because I'm riding the razor's edge of anxiety 24/7 and need my home to be chill after. I rarely have the TV on and you can usually hear the birds and windchimes very easily.
Me whenever someone in my family visits: Sorry my place isn't that exciting.

Family, who are all terminally addicted to Constantly Doing Something: Are you kidding? This is great. It's quiet and we dont have to be anywhere.

Me: So... wanna read and nap?

Family: YES.
Can't believe I've lived long enough to see my niece become a full-blown nerd and dress as an anime character for Halloween. I'm so proud.
