Hilda waves to Shrike on a street in the Firmanent, smiling brightly. She speaks:

"Léone! Just the woman I was lookin' for! Hold out yer 'ands, I got ye somethin'!"

Shrike does as instructed. Hilda presents him with a baby seikret wearing a bandana that she appears to have pulled out of nowhere. Shrike is stunned. He speaks.

"Er, alri- oh!"

Hilda continues walking on her way, waving goodbye. Shrike clutches the seikret, glancing at Hilda over his shoulder, still very confused. Hilda continues:

"Wish I could stick around and 'elp ye two get acquainted, but work needs doin'! I'll 'andle dinner tonight, love ye!"

The baby seikret looks at Shrike in glee and curiosity. He looks back at it, exasperated but affectionate. He finishes speaking to himself as Hilda leaves:

"Love you too, magpie..."

[Magpie is a petname he uses for Hilda, referring to her roguish and devious behavior.]

it can get hard to motivate myself to create when I often feel like I don't have people to share the full story with when it comes to stuff like gposing. there's a lot of emotion and narrative I want to convey with some of my shots.

and writing gets even harder.

Ikiryō: A "living ghost," a spirit that detaches from the body of a still living person, usually overcome with intense, harrowing feelings of grief, envy, jealousy, and vengefulness.

Shiina stands alone in a forest, resting her hand on the hilt of her blade, bathed in late summer light. Behind her is an expanse of graves and large trees. She states:

"It's always this time of year..."

Several gravestones block out the light, with Shiina visible in the background in a gap between them, still standing ponderously. In the foreground, a faint spirit can be seen standing, wearing a white kimono. She seems to have long hair identical to Shiina's.

Shiina continues:

"The haze of light and heat settles upon the world, drawing our eyes near and minds afar."

Shiina opens her eyes, surveying. She idly grips the hilt of her blade now, attentively. A mist has begun to settle over the graveyard. Behind a grave, the spirit Shiina glares at the real Shiina with black eyes and a deformed, gaping mouth.

Shiina continues:

"It reminds us that there is another world beyond this one. Even when we cannot notice it."

Shiina begins to draw her blade, still scanning for the source of an apparent disturbance. She seems to be semi-unaware of the ghost-Shiina now grasping her from behind, tracing her cheek with two fingers and glaring at menacingly.

Shiina continues:

"...And it's rarely more than a few steps away."

the other real problem is most of my "pieces" are in play in terms of concepts I find evocative and I hate when I feel like I have to go back and take parts of other characters and rearrange them onto a new one. though I suppose that's always been a big part of how I engage with this game.

There's a lot of stuff I'm starting to think about lately and if I'm going to turn to this game as an outlet for now I'm not sure my current cast will do the job. Shiina would work, but I'm also somewhat unsatisfied with parts of her lore right now. Siobhan is in a good place on her own.

I need to WRITE something that actually lets some emotions out. I'm in the middle of a big WIP but I've been feeling so creatively dry with it, like I'm just regurgitating stuff. I love Shrike to bits but without active storylines and new characters and RP I feel like I'm just burning him out.

Silent Hill f is probably my game of the year and I've not even finished it but it's also so upsetting and visceral and close to home for me that I can't really see myself wanting to talk about it with anyone lmao

She's studied martial arts under Shiina, and has generally learned about Shiina's philosophical outlooks but Shiina's also no onmyoji. Though she's a kami and fundamentally engaging with much of the same forces, it's very different from intensive and focused study.

this had gotten me thinking of Yotsuyu studying onmyodo as some means of reconnecting to her culture in a way that's empowering and removed from the parts that harmed her. and there's also the matter of "Tsukuyomi," her alter-ego falsely bearing the god's name, needing some kind of direction.
